When I got back from Concord on Saturday I spent most of the time working on my colo server trying to get email working properly. Let me tell you that was a pain in the ass. But, I finally got it going which makes me very happy While working on my colo server, I was talking to my friend Phil who I met online a few weeks ago. We made plans to meet at the Meridian Mall at 6pm. So I dig up maps to figure out how to get there and write down directions. When I get there we meet up at the food court and get some pop and then proceed to walk around the mall talking for about an hour or so. After talking for a while Phil invites me to his place where I help work on his linux server. He needed to get a few domains running phil-miller.info and pteppic.info. For me this was very easy as I do this kind of stuff every day at work. Although Phil is fairly new to the web hosting industry and is still learning the ropes. It was really fun hanging out with Phil and working on geeky computer stuff. It is nice to know that I am making some progress at getting some cool friends here in Lansing, even though It’s slow progress. I hope that Phil and I can find some time to hang out again.
